Maldives Visa Requirements

Most visitors receive a free 30-day tourist visa on arrival. Check the official immigration page before you travel, because rules change.

Have ready:

• A passport with at least one month of validity
• A confirmed place to stay
• A return or onward ticket
• Proof you can pay for the trip

IMUGA: Complete the Traveller Declaration online within 96 hours before arrival.

Stays can be extended at immigration in Malé, up to the limit published for tourists. Work requires a separate permit arranged by an employer. A tourist visa is not permission to work.
